Day 1
Activists gathered to pay a visit to HLS service suppliers United Parcel Service, UPS. We decide to go to an office supply store called Centre d’affaire Beaubien that has a franchise of Mail Box Ect/UPS in the back of their shop. You see UPS, you're very lucky that it was us today because all we do is destroy your reputation and make you lose hundreds of dollars.

We began shouting through the megaphone and giving leaflets about UPS and their involvement with animal cruelty. A lot of people passing by promised to boycott UPS and any store connected with UPS. All the people working in the offices around were looking out of the windows and a lot of them came to get a leaflet and give us their encouragement. The whole time we were there we stood right in front of the front entrance witch as a big window just 1 meter from the front desk were all the employee were looking at us nervously.
We left knowing their business income and reputation will go down .

Day 2
We decide to go back to the same MBE/UPS store as yesterday since
we knew the store owner was going to be there and that Saturdays are their busiest day of the week. As we began our demo, telling everyone on this busy neighborhood to boycott this store because of their links with HLS, the owner came outside with his biggest, tallest employee ( was he scared we would be aggressive?? Or was he trying to scare us?) . He was to our surprise, very nice and comprehending. He told us he doesn’t need that kind of bad publicity and that he lost money the day before because of us. We told him we will not go away until he sever hs links with UPS or until UPS leaves HLS. You know what this good man said…’’ ok no problem, they are gone, first thing Monday morning’’. He also told us that whoever did the graffiti on the wall did a morally acceptable thing! He also told us where in town UPS makes most of their money.

HEY UPS INTERNATIONAL, you see Mr. Jean from Le Centre d’Affaire Beaubien at 765 Beaubien St. Montreal, Quebec Canada is severing all links with UPS because of your involvement with animal cruelty at HLS! Mr. Jean said that because of UPS links with cruelty he lost the amount of money he makes in 2 months with his MBE franchise income!
We still promise Mr.Jean that we will come back till there are no MBE/UPS signs or any links with UPS in his shop.

Again here is an ethical company!

Day 3
We began our day with 2 excellent demos at a company we really hate. A company that see nothing wrong and unethical with profiting from the death of animals at HLS.

First demo was at a very busy part of the financial part of town. Thousands of people in ties heard our message thru our megaphone. The only employee there was with the security guard they just hire and they could not do any thing except pointing thru the windows at the newly placed video camera in front of the main door. After they saw that we didn't care they tried laughing at us to see if we would go away. We were laughing at you, moron! A couple of minutes later the business tower manager and security showed up only to tell us to go away from the property…that’s 1 meter further from where we were!

2 minutes later the business tower manager ask the UPS employer if he wanted him to call the police, and the employee told him not to call because we were allowed to stay there but that it was very annoying and humiliating.

Before we left we looked around us and hundreds of people were looking at us from the sky scrapers. That’s a lot of bad publicity for you UPS! It takes years to rebuild a reputation…We then decide to go to a UPS just 2 street away from where we were, on Mc-Gill Street. To our surprise again, UPS has spent even more money on a new video camera in front of the entrance plus they hired a full time security guard!! The security guard told us it was because of recent vandalizing. We turn the megaphone full blast and gave hundreds of flyers telling people the links between UPS and HLS. UPS is so paranoid that they are spending a lot of money for full time security guards and high-tech video cameras, that’s pathetic.

Day 4
We revisited the UPS store that was visited the day before, in downtown Montreal. Some workers from the business building across the street were outside smoking cigarettes and cheering us! The UPS employees weren’t very happy to see us again. We tried to go in to get a free coffee from their coffee machine but the security guard didn't let us, but we didn't care because it was not even fair trade coffee! Not suprising from a company that don’t respect animals, they don’t respect humans as well. We left promising to come back until they sever all their links with HLS.

Next was PerkinElmer BioSignal, we decide to talk to them nicely before destroying their reputation. We went on the 6th floor and it seems like they are aware they are doing something wrong since their front door wore locked, with a video camera and you have to talk in a speaker before you’re aloud in. We told the receptionist we were there for business but he didn't believed us so he came to talk to us and said ‘no comment, no comment’.

That was enough diplomatic effort on our part, we took our megaphone, airhorns, posters and flyers and began our demo. We informed everyone that their neighbor prefers making money than making ethical decisions. Your reputation is done PerkinElmer, all the people who share the building with you will talk behind your back, you’re a shame PerkinElmer BioSignal.

A lot of people from the building came to talk to us and gave us their approval. Some of them told us they where going to tell PerkinElmer how they are ashamed to share the building with them.

Day 5
This morning we visited the UPS store on Mc-Gill, we again tried to get free coffee from their coffee machine but it seems that UPS hired a security guard only to protect their coffee machine! It’s pretty hard to get near that damn machine...

Because we were making too much noise the construction workers that were working on the building decide to take a break and to watch us, so did hundreds of workers that were watching us from their cubicle windows. The manager of the building came and tried to make us stop, he was saying we were disturbing the other tenants. That’s UPS fault not ours! We then with the help of our megaphone invited all the unhappy businesses in the building to call UPS because they are the only one that have the power to make us go away by severing their links with HLS. UPS, we will not go away until you drop HLS !

After lunch we went to TEVA pharmaceutical in Montreal. Since it was our first visit in one of their Canadian offices we decide to go talk to them to explain why we where going to demonstrate against them. We ask the receptionist to talk to the director/trice and she suddenly didn't want us to meet anyone. But after we told her that it was probably in the company interest to meet us because we were not going to come back for another meeting, she called Mark the Sales director. He didn't even offer us to sit down, or offer some candy or a drink! What a rude man. We told him why we were there and we left when we heard the secretary urging the security guard of the building to come up for a emergency. On our way out we pass in front of the security office and we heard them calling back up!!! Hey all we want to do is talk to you about HLS!
TEVA we will come back to shame you! We will tell all your dirty secrets to everyone working in your 30 story building.

Day 6
Today we return to HLS supplier Perkinelmer BioSignal in Montreal. Armed with a megaphone, anti-HLS posters and flyers we walked around the building they share with about 10 other companies, naming and shaming PerkinElmer. This Neighborhood is so quiet that every single person working in that building were watching us through their windows. We were loud and clear! People are starting to get pissed off of having to put up with PerkinElmer BioSignal's unethical decisions. After 10 minutes the cops showed up and after seeing they could not charge us with anything they let us continue the demo. A lot of Perkinelmer office neighbours came to get more info on their puppy killer neighbor. They all wish us good luck and took literature.

Day 7
Today we hold a demonstration at PerkinElmer BioSignal downtown office in Montreal.

We were particularly pissed off at them since last time we were there, they called the police on us. It looks like they realize the police can do nothing to get rid of us since demonstration are protected under the Liberty Chart of Canada because they didn't call the cops this time.
Hundreds of employees from other business working in the same building as them and in the surrounding area heard how this unethical company makes money. PerkinElmer Biosignal sees no problems selling equipment that will be used or contribute to torture innocent animals.

Day 8
Today despite the crazy snow storm and the cold weather we did our second demo of the week at PerkinElmer BioSignal downtown location. It’s been a week now since this location been receiving at least 50 phone calls a day from concerned activists so we thought it would be nice of us to visit them.

With our loud megaphone we told PerkinElmer to expect more and more calls every single day if they don’t send us a confirmation that they sever all links with HLS. Every day more people are informed and get pissed off at PerkinElmer that they make money from such a low class company like HLS. During the demo employees from other business in the building cheered us and gave us two thumbs up! We march around the building to make sure everyone heard our message, all the people who were looking at us trough the windows confirmed it.

We know that 3000 flyers about PerkinElmer BioSignal involvement with animal cruelty at HLS have been printed and handout everywhere in Montreal.
