About 25 Canadian activists joined in the fight to shut down HLS. Gathering in a major park in downtown Montreal, activists made speeches and handed out leaflets to hundreds of onlookers before taking over the street and marching to the offices of Sumitomo Canada. Once there, activists attempted to enter the building and had a rousing protest complete with spraypainted anti-HLS slogans and strategically placed stickers. Everyone entering and exiting the building was treated to a crash course on the atrocities supported by their neighbours in the Sumitomo suite. The demonstration ended with a reminder to Sumitomo that until it severs all ties with HLS "We will be back!" SMASH HLS – SHAC CANADA
